Read twice from Scottish Water's own published charges for 2026/27. The band is your council tax band. A household on Council Tax Reduction can get up to 35 per cent off the water charge.
Every band's water and waste water charges add exactly to the printed total, which is a useful check that the table was read correctly.
Households getting Council Tax Reduction can get up to 35 per cent off the water charge through the Water Charges Reduction Scheme.
Scottish Water charges by two blocks on small meters. The first 25 cubic metres of water and the first 23.75 cubic metres of waste water cost more, then the standard rate applies.
