Where this comes from, and where it could be wrong
Every figure is read from Anglian Water's own charges scheme for 2026/27, twice, and only published where both readings agreed. Your actual bill depends on how much water you use and whether you have a meter, which is why the calculator on the charges page does the arithmetic.
Worth knowing about Anglian Water
Anglian is built the other way round from most companies. The unmetered fixed charge is very large, £513.45 for water, and the rate per pound of rateable value is very small at 29.22p. Read either half on its own and you will get the wrong answer.
The unmetered fixed charge is banded by rateable value. The figures here are for a rateable value up to £1,000, which covers almost every home. Above that it rises to £974.45 and then £2,357.45.
Surface water drainage at £52.00 and highway drainage at £25.00 are separate annual lines. Foul, surface and highway together come to a £129.95 fixed sewerage charge.
These are the Anglian area figures. The scheme sets separate tariffs for Woods Meadow, Northstowe, Finningley and Hartlepool.
Anglian runs several alternative tariffs: Aquacare Plus at £171.20 and £1.4711, LITE at £45.00 and £2.2154, Extra LITE at £30.00 and £1.4769, plus two seasonal trials that charge roughly twice as much in summer.
Anglian publishes a rates table on an ordinary page of its website with no year on it anywhere. Neither set on that page matches this year's scheme, so it appears to be two older years. If you found rates there, they are not these.
