If you have a meter
A standing charge a year, plus a rate for every cubic metre, which is 1,000 litres.

Where this comes from, and where it could be wrong
Every figure is read from Bournemouth Water's own charges scheme for 2026/27, twice, and only published where both readings agreed. Your actual bill depends on how much water you use and whether you have a meter, which is why the calculator on the charges page does the arithmetic.
Worth knowing about Bournemouth Water
Bournemouth Water is a separately charged region of South West Water Limited, not a separate company. Its own about us page says it is part of South West Water Limited, and the Drinking Water Inspectorate lists the regulated body as South West and Bournemouth Water Ltd.
The metered and the unmetered standing charge are both £35.00.
Whether the £35.00 standing charge is added to the assessed band amounts or already inside them is not clear from the scheme. Two readings differed on this point, so we do not say either way.
